Great stay, great quality hotel

We stayed at the Holiday Inn & Suites Oakland Airport for departing out of the Oakland airport. It was very close to the airport, about as close as you could get. The rooms were very nice. We had really nice rooms and thought they were really big with nice bed linens and pillows. Much nicer than the average. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. My first room was right near the ice machine and even though they were very full they found me a room in a quieter location. Free use of the business center printers was appreciated as well. It appears to be a meeting spot for out of town Raider fans as well. Many were staying in the hotel as the stadium was close by.

A Good Choice in Oakland

This is a newer property with outstanding housekeeping. The bathrooms have travertine floors and granite counters. The desk provides ample workspace and outlets are plentiful. Like most airport hotels, dining options within walking distance are extremely limited. Thankfully, the hotel restaurant offers decent food at reasonable prices. The restaurant had much better service on Saturday than on Friday. It appeared as if they schedule the A-team on weekends and have fillers during the week.

The hotel has a fleet of shuttles to ferry guests to and from the airport and the BART station about a mile away. BART grants easy access to the great restaurants of San Francisco for dinner without changing trains.

Service here is good, not great. I say good because no one that works here will greet you without you speaking to them first; unusual in the service sector but just plain bizarre in the hospitality industry. For whatever reason, it was the norm during our visit. The experience was the same for the most part from housekeepers, front desk staff, and a few of the restaurant servers. Fortunately, the staff was extremely capable and dutifully attended to our requests. Maybe silent competence trumps verbose ineptitude.

Great service and location for sports enthusiasts!

In town for a Raiders game and I was extremely satisfied! Shuttles were provided to every location I needed; from the airport, to and from the Oakland-Alameda Coliseum and back to the airport. The room was comfy and clean and I enjoyed a tasty and affordable meal at the hotel's sport's bar and grill. A great experience for a quick trip to sporting events in the area.

Very Nice Hotel

My husband and I were vacationing in Santa Rosa and decided to stay over in Oakland the evening before our flight back to Texas. The hotel is very clean and updated. Our bed was extremely comfortable and the curtains and linens were color friendly. The air conditioner was also quiet which I greatly appreciated. One Con is that there was no continental breakfast offered for the guests.

Great Oakland Hotel!

We recently stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. We chose it because it was new and we thought it would be quiet and a good place to stay. We booked a standard double king room, and requested the 4th floor (top floor). When we checked in, nothing was left on the 4th floor, so we were assigned a room on the 3rd floor. Our first night was not so good. A neighbour had their TV blaring until well after 3 a.m.!! Needless to say, none of us got much sleep that night. The next morning, I spoke to WENY at the front desk. This was a surprise, birthday trip for our son's 12th birthday and when I explained what a restless night we had and why and the purpose of our trip, she immediately upgraded us to a suite for no charge, and also included a rollaway bed for our son for no extra charge! I think we all looked very tired, especially our son! We had our choice of suites, and chose room 402 on the top floor at the end of the hall! This was we only had 1 neighbour to worry about. It was GREAT!! Peaceful and quiet every night, and we were well-rested each morning. Weny made our stay SO much better! She is cheerful, and always has a smile on her face and is willing to help in any way she can. The hotel itself is beautiful and clean and the parking is free, and I would rate it as a 4 diamond hotel. The rooms are large and the 32 inch flat screen Tv's are very nice, being the LG brand! We would definitely stay here again, and anyone who complains about the hotel, obviously has not talked to Weny to get things changed for the better! If you're not happy, then you need to speak up! They WILL make it better for you! All you have to do is ask. Close to the freeway and the airport, but we NEVER heard a sound! Would definitely highly recommend this hotel and WENY especially at the front desk as the person to talk to!

Very Good Oakland Airport Hotel.

Excellent place to stay near the Oakland airport. This hotel was clean, the bed was comfortable and clean. I would recommend it to anyone going to Oakland.

Helpful Staff.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. When I needed a jump for my battery, they were more than willing to accommodate me. The breakfast was wonderful and they made sure there was plenty. I was always greeted with a smile.

Convenient Hotel in Oakland.

Very pleased how this hotel is the quality that I would expect from Holiday Inn. Everything was clean - the lobby the walls the hallway & the carpet The room was color coordinated and the bathroom was bigger than walking into a shoebox.
