“Great place to stay”

This hotel to be an excellent place to stay. While it is near the Oakland Airport, airplane noise was not a problem. They have a restaurant/sports bar for lunch/dinner and offer breakfast meals.

Our room was very clean, the bed was just as comfortable as the one at home and they even offer two different pillows; soft or firm!! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Oakland/San Francisco area. We spent most of our time in San Francisco and Napa, but this was a wonderful place for a good nights' rest.

Overall good hotel experience. Be careful not to confuse this hotel with the other Holiday inn; they are within several blocks of one another. Rooms are spacious and generally clean. The decor stood out to me because it is very modern and stylish. I really enjoyed the roomy walk-in shower area. Walls are thin but that is the case with many hotels. Wi-fi is included and works very well. Rooms with microwave and refrigerator are available. No DVD Player combo on the TV so if you plan on watching movies, bring your laptop or a separate player. FREE parking in the hotel lot, which is hard to come by sometimes. There is ALOT of construction on the outside area (Hegenberger Rd) so noise may be a distraction, but it only seems they are working during the week. Housekeeping staff is very efficient and thorough. The hotel is also VERY close to the Oakland Airport (probably within about 1-2 miles) and there is a shuttle - so no excuses for missing your flight. I don't have many complaints about this place. If I had to stay in Oakland again, I would definitely consider staying here again.

Great experience, Brian was so helpful, friendly and when we arrived early, he helped us out by letting us check in before 3:00 p.m.....Rooms are quiet, large and the bed was so comfortable.. the cleaning staff was great. Will be going back and will be staying at this hotel....

Even though we flew in and out of the San Francisco airport, we stayed at this hotel. We wanted to be in Oakland since we were visiting our son who lives in the Rock Ridge area. The location worked great for us since we were there over a weekend and the traffic was not bad. We made several trips into SF with no trouble. I am not sure if this would be the case during the week. The facility was very clean and the staff very pleasant. The hotel has a restaurant so there is no breakfast included. We typically run out to a grocery store and get breakfast items to keep in the fridge so having a free breakfast is not a plus for us. We would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for two nights while we were in Oakland for a wedding. Very convenient location near the airport. The rooms all have 1 or 2 KING beds which was very nice. I believe it is only a year or so old so everything is new, clean, nice. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We only ate breakfast in the hotel but it was good.

The hotel has a convenient central location close to the Oakland International Airport, You can go easily to the Oakland business centers, family attractions, historic monuments, parks museums, cultural events, golf, shopping, dining and entertainment. Service is good at the hotel. I like their beds as you can adjust the firmness of the mattress that you seldom find in other hotels. Most of the hotels have very soft mattress that hurt my back. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and relatives. [Top]

VIII. Brand New Hotel

There are two Holiday Inn hotels within a two block radius in this area. This one is brand new. The lobby interior is very professional looking. The room is pretty incredible. It is much better looking than other 4-star hotels that I've stayed in. I pre-ordered a crib for my 1-year old. It was not in the room when we arrived, but it showed up within 10 minutes. The next time I go to Oakland (or San Francisco) I would stay here again.

GREAT hotel!!!

The staff at the hotel were very friendly & accommodating. They were always ready to shuttle us to where we needed to go 24/7. Food was good in the restaurant, have a great sports bar, and excellent service. Rooms were clean &kept up everyday. Would definitely stay there again. We were there for the Oakland Raiders Football game.

I booked a regular single king size bed-room, but they ran out of the room by the time I got to the hotel, and upgraded to suite room with no additional charge. That was so sweet. They had bath & body work amenities...But since I'm a girl, I wish they would supply a hair-conditioner...

We loved this hotel...the room size is incredible! The shower is fab, but the bathroom fans deafening. The alarm clocks have ipod docks, which was a bonus, along w/ wifi too. So worth the money...

We stayed at the Holiday Inn & Suites Oakland Airport for departing out of the Oakland airport. It was very close to the airport, about as close as you could get. The rooms were very nice. We had really nice rooms and thought they were really big with nice bed linens and pillows. Much nicer than the average. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. My first room was right near the ice machine and even though they were very full they found me a room in a quieter location. Free use of the business center printers was appreciated as well. It appears to be a meeting spot for out of town Raider fans as well. Many were staying in the hotel as the stadium was close by.

A Good Choice in Oakland

This is a newer property with outstanding housekeeping. The bathrooms have travertine floors and granite counters. The desk provides ample workspace and outlets are plentiful. Like most airport hotels, dining options within walking distance are extremely limited. Thankfully, the hotel restaurant offers decent food at reasonable prices. The restaurant had much better service on Saturday than on Friday. It appeared as if they schedule the A-team on weekends and have fillers during the week.

The hotel has a fleet of shuttles to ferry guests to and from the airport and the BART station about a mile away. BART grants easy access to the great restaurants of San Francisco for dinner without changing trains.

Service here is good, not great. I say good because no one that works here will greet you without you speaking to them first; unusual in the service sector but just plain bizarre in the hospitality industry. For whatever reason, it was the norm during our visit. The experience was the same for the most part from housekeepers, front desk staff, and a few of the restaurant servers. Fortunately, the staff was extremely capable and dutifully attended to our requests. Maybe silent competence trumps verbose ineptitude.

In town for a Raiders game and I was extremely satisfied! Shuttles were provided to every location I needed; from the airport, to and from the Oakland-Alameda Coliseum and back to the airport. The room was comfy and clean and I enjoyed a tasty and affordable meal at the hotel's sport's bar and grill. A great experience for a quick trip to sporting events in the area.

My husband and I were vacationing in Santa Rosa and decided to stay over in Oakland the evening before our flight back to Texas. The hotel is very clean and updated. Our bed was extremely comfortable and the curtains and linens were color friendly. The air conditioner was also quiet which I greatly appreciated. One Con is that there was no continental breakfast offered for the guests.

Great Oakland Hotel!

We recently stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. We chose it because it was new and we thought it would be quiet and a good place to stay. We booked a standard double king room, and requested the 4th floor (top floor). When we checked in, nothing was left on the 4th floor, so we were assigned a room on the 3rd floor. Our first night was not so good. A neighbour had their TV blaring until well after 3 a.m.!! Needless to say, none of us got much sleep that night. The next morning, I spoke to WENY at the front desk. This was a surprise, birthday trip for our son's 12th birthday and when I explained what a restless night we had and why and the purpose of our trip, she immediately upgraded us to a suite for no charge, and also included a rollaway bed for our son for no extra charge! I think we all looked very tired, especially our son! We had our choice of suites, and chose room 402 on the top floor at the end of the hall! This was we only had 1 neighbour to worry about. It was GREAT!! Peaceful and quiet every night, and we were well-rested each morning. Weny made our stay SO much better! She is cheerful, and always has a smile on her face and is willing to help in any way she can. The hotel itself is beautiful and clean and the parking is free, and I would rate it as a 4 diamond hotel. The rooms are large and the 32 inch flat screen Tv's are very nice, being the LG brand! We would definitely stay here again, and anyone who complains about the hotel, obviously has not talked to Weny to get things changed for the better! If you're not happy, then you need to speak up! They WILL make it better for you! All you have to do is ask. Close to the freeway and the airport, but we NEVER heard a sound! Would definitely highly recommend this hotel and WENY especially at the front desk as the person to talk to!

Helpful Staff.

Very pleased how this hotel is the quality that I would expect from Holiday Inn. Everything was clean - the lobby the walls the hallway & the carpet The room was color coordinated and the bathroom was bigger than walking into a shoebox.
